Virgil Abloh Foundation
Virgil and his wife, Shannon, always believed deeply in the power of creativity to inspire future generations and in the creative industry's adaptability to foster change. To continue this work, the Virgil Abloh Foundation was created with a mission to open doors, break barriers, and build a more equitable and inclusive industry for diverse youth and cultural leaders in pursuit of a limitless creative future.
With an ambition to increase exposure, access and opportunity for diverse youth interested in pursuing creative careers, the foundation’s work will center on the co-created insight-informed programming, sector-wide advocacy and education through the preservation of the Virgil Abloh archives. The foundation’s first pilot program is currently scheduled to launch in the fall of 2024 in the Abloh’s hometown of Chicago focused on high school-aged students who are passionate about the creative arts.
